And the Artrix's take on... series continues, and this time, it's Family Guy's turn.
Even though the very base of this picture lies behind a ArtRage doodle, my goal was clear: to glorify these, otherwise self-rediculing, characters to heaven. Y'know, like those anime intros where the characters are shown in pretty poses that makes they seem more important than they really are. I'm sure you can find the obvious and not-so-obvious elements that are supposed to make this happen. It's also kinda experimental as the whole piece, even the initial sketch, is made on the computer. Yes, even the inking, and I'm satified with the outcome, and I'll definitely will use this technique for the minor inking work from now on. Anyway, that pretty much sums it up. Uploaded this before completion because you guys have been waiting for a new piece for way too long (although most of my watchers won't care because it's not Naruto). ---Edit:--- Finished shading CommentsHaha, that's awesome man. I actually like this more than the show's actual designs. Like you can kinda tell everyone's personality and stuff just by looking at them in this. Very nice detail in it too, of course. I think Peter or Brian are my favorites in this because they looks so realistic while remaining cartoony. Awesome piece!
Yes, but not today, no, not today... tomorrow! Yes, that's the day, tomorrow, or maybe tuesday.
Figured that no one would care much for the "advanced critique" thing. Thanks for keeping me on my toes. -- The Artrix Commission Service, yes, I do commissions. Ahaha, love the whiskers on Brian and the expressions are swell.
ps. What the heck does all this Commons Creative Licensing crap that DA added mean? -- Wonchop.net / Newgrounds / Youtube/Twitter It's something along the lines of "Dude, if you wanna use this pic on your website, go ahead man. But keep my name on it, k. Oh, and I would appreciate it if you don't make money off it, y'know, because I made it and all, kthxbye".
You can actually choose the kind of licence you want now, I choose this one because I don't own the characters, and thus, I don't care where this ends up as long as people don't claim they made it. However, if I were to feature my own characters, I would not choose the CC licence because I want to keep the exclusive copyright. -- The Artrix Commission Service, yes, I do commissions. I see. I'll probably never use that until I actually get somewhere in the biz. XD
