This is typically what I would consider a warm up gone too far, but hey, we're not complaining, now are we. I blame it on the Luma, or rather, the fire-y representation of a Luma. For the uninitiated souls: Lumas are a species in Super Mario Galaxy that are essentially a bunch of baby stars, planets and other celestial bodies. Rosalina has a rather adorable, albeit sometimes disturbingly obsessive bond with them.
After putting Azula in the worst position imaginable, it was only logical to put Rosalina in her now vacant place. The underlying reason is that I wanted to see if Azula's rather "fierce" outfit, for a lack of a better word, would have any impact on Rosalina's calm and peaceful character. This turns out to be nonexistent. She doesn't emit any kind of authority, not a trace of intimidation, and most important of all, she's content with what she has.
Until Ozai discovers that his "daughter" is a peace loving hippie, that's where things might get interesting.
While I have seen some Mario/Avatar crossovers, it usually involves the plumbers and not the various princesses. It makes sense, Azula and Rosalina are both princesses (although Rosalina's title seems self-appointed), but the way they convey this is quite different.
In case you didn't find it, I also did one where I dressed up Azula as Rosalina (entitled Rosazula).
She's adorable in that outfit and the fire Luma is awesome.
