Pinkie Pie, putting the
P back in pink since 2010!
Pinkie Pie is, in my opinion, an acquired taste. Initially, she may come a bit over the top, but then you realize just how much fun this character is in voice acting and animation. Almost everything she does in ridiculous in one way or another. Pinkie Pie is proof that female characters can be extremely funny without trading away her femininity or resorting to turning her into a
punching bag (not to say that I don't find
that funny, even though it doesn't work for the former).
This was incredibly fun to draw, and the fact that she takes up most space just tells you how extroverted she is.

Still, Pinkie is a good character, even if she is an add on from the former Generation of MLP. I love her designs and even though she can come off as over the top at times, there are certain things she does to make you laugh. (Like her constant appearing and reappearing in last week's episode. The part where she appeared in the MIRROR made me do a WTF-double take)
Still, I too regard Pinkie as one of my favorite characters who never ceases to amuse me. She's just so, well, animated, something I really like in an animated show.
Of the lot, Pinkie Keen was my least favorite because it was a moral that didn't allow anyone else to take their view point and in the end, it just said Pinkie was right for no other reason than Twighlight being a jerk and Pinkie being weirder than normal. The basic fact that if Pinkie DID have this power, they could have avoided many things that happened in earlier episodes and to see that its never used again was just so...cheap. Its like the episode told people that you can never attempt to see things the other way even if you don't feel comfortable with it which was rather jarring for a show like this.
On another note, I love the little bouncy sounds Pinkie makes when she hops. I think its so cute.
Wearing a dress over pants and a t-shirt is definitely a fashion-statement

Em, I stand corrected.
