Next in the warm-up lineup is Twilight Sparkle, now with 200% serious business. Drawn during today's Livestream session.
For those who wonder: "Why, Artrix. Why is Twilight drinking?". Well, there are two reasons, one being that I think it fits her, having a relatively large burden of basically being the student of god herself. A lso, there is this meme that exploits this scene where she is seen pouring something into what looks like a Martini glass.
So here you have it, Twilight Sparkle, bad-ass magician and psuedo-intellectual. Enjoy.
What I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate about your humanized ponies is that they looks like actual people, not "sexified" anime girls with short skirts and gigantic breasts.
Not to mention "The Nerd" AND "The Leader"! I honestly can't think of a single other instance of this happening in all of TV and movies. It actually amazes me even more then the whole "girly stuff for a broad audience" feat.
I actually like her choice of fashion here not as a *its suits her* but moreso in that it actually looks good. Twilight took some time to grow on me mainly because of the attitude that she harbored in the first episodes but as the series went on, she actually grew on me as a character even though of the six mains, she at the bottom of my list. It doesn't mean that I HATE her but the others are just a bit more exciting.
This is indeed one of my favorite designs. Twilight is an academic person, a magician and isn't afraid to show it. Twilight is serious business.
As for the character, she's definitely one of my top-tier characters. She's somewhat of a smart-ass, is stubborn in a way, has some incredibly powers but in the end, she's a very pleasant and relatable person.
I really hope they do some more back stories on the character, especially as to how Twighlight became so close to Celestia as opposed to all the other Unicorns around her. From what I've seen though, I don't think I should be worried.
Major props.
