This is a warm-up/anatomy study I did this morning. I've got a bunch of other sketches I want to post later on, but I think this one deserves its dedicated deviation.
Not much to explain here. When it comes to humanized Twilight, I like the idea of her being a powerful magician. And I'm not talking about Trixie-tier magic tricks, but goddamn Fullmetal Alchemist-tier magic-science that defies reality as we know it. In other words, you do NOT want to face her when she's mad (not that rapidash Twilight is any better).
Oh, and Applejack is there, also.
This is done in a series of anatomy studies that I've been conducting. I thought this one came through nicely (not so much for Apple Jack). If you have any meaningful criticism to share, please do.
I was just thinking of the six ponies in an RPG setting and how they would be like. Here's what I think:
- Twilight would be the Squishy Wizard with low scores in health and physical defense. At the start, she would be too reliant on MP (or mana, etc.) to be effective while having only descent physical skills. But I imagine in the later levels she becomes very powerful due to her spells (AoEs, strong single target, magic boosts, probably a magic regen ability, etc.) - Applejack would be some balanced, physical-based character kinda like the Mario of the group. Nothing much I can expand on. - Rarity could also be magic-based to an extent but more of supporting magic compared to Twilight who is offensive based. She could probably be a de-buffer, especially because of that episode with the dogs. - Pinkie Pie ... I don't really know, but I can imagine her having an odd skillset that come with offense or defense capabilities. But I think she could be a buffer seeing as she always throws parties, and in some games buffing is in the form of cheering. - Fluttershy for some reason could be some kind of Stone Wall as well as being the healer of the group. I'm not sure what else I can input for Fluttershy though. - Rainbow Dash would be a Glass Cannon - period. High offense and speed but no regard for defense.
Interesting read. I'm not much of an RPG person myself, but :devponysponz: did a rather epic dramatic reading of this during his stream. Too bad he didn't record it.

What do you guys think?
