The road ahead, or... something.

'Sup dudes and dudettes. Been a while since I last posted a journal entry that was not an episode of Radio Rothingham. Expect a bunch of rambling, though I will try and keep it nice and short so you won't get bored, that, or you can just read the tl;dr.

In the past few months, work's been taking up a fair amount of time, leaving enough time to play some games, record the podcast, and other boring adult responsibilities. That doesn't mean I have absolutely nothing to show for it, since one of the things I've been working on during the Radio Rothingham episodes is a collage of all 25 Overwatch characters, which I plan to release as one big deviation. Another reason is that I have been getting my feet wet in the more... risqué variety of art, and I wasn't entirely sure how to deal with that with my deviantART gallery

For one thing, I have been aligning myself with CuteyConfidential, a group of supportive artists. We're currently working on the last issue of My Little Sweetheart, and my involvement in these projects has lead me to new insights, skills and making new friends along the way. However, it has drawn me into a position where me being a purely SFW artist has come into question, which some people from my past might even go as far as to describe as "betrayal".

That said, I've always operated under the moniker of "I draw what I enjoy drawing, and that enjoyment is passed on to the audience". I've never been much into pandering to trends unless I like said trends, rather I just like doing my own thing. And with the current zeitgeist of getting "undesirable" content off the Internet, it is more imperative than ever that I put myself out there, because doing the opposite is giving in.

So, without beating around the bush, what does it mean for my presence on deviantART? Most importantly, I want to present a wider variety of content, which is something I'm already doing, seeing as I stopped doing MLP fan art exclusively. You should also expect to see more risqué art or nudes, though it should be noted that I am not at all interested in exclusively drawing that kind of content. If you have your maturity filters set correctly, this should not pose much of a problem for most of you. Lastly, my personal goal is to gradually move towards getting something going involving the Rothingham characters. It has gone a very long way from the initial concept to what it is now, it's only a matter of patching the last missing links together.

tl;dr
I'm not ded, art in the pipeline, becoming more of an NSFW artist but not exclusively, expect a greater variety of art, and goal to move towards the Rothingham universe.
